Well there was an M-EUS B6 on the 37 today, but oddly it had no Stagecoach stickers, just said Terrier in peeling letters. Plenty more mis-allocations today. Rawmash were on top form with YN56OMH and RHE 353 (ironically branded) on the X92, but I also saw an Evolution so they can have a brownie point for that. First joined in the fun with a 52-branded T-ODT B10BLE on the 53, also YN53EOH on the 57 (likely that it was just spare). And Doyles, in their infinite wisdom, again stuck one of their MPDs on the 214, and I had the misfortune of riding the tiny cramped thing. (They are branded for the 147 Alfreton-Codnor, wherever that is.) Although the other bus was the dart branded for 213/4. Amazingly I didn't spot anything out of place Holbrook-wise, but evidently it was there!

Also saw severall different Merc Benz mini's on there over the last few weeks.

But then Rawmarsh have the sense not to brand things if they can't get them right. We don't have anyone from Alfreton on here do we, to watch out for the 214 branded Dart over there?! Seriously though, the 214 has started to go down the pan since TM lost it (although they branded TM52BUS but rarely used it). I can't quite see the logic in branding a full size LF bus, but then running the other one as a Vario (small and with steps), which negates the advantages of the Dart. They seem a little on the Powells side to me, with about 4 LFs, but with dozens of Merc minis instead of Metrobuses and step darts. Indeed, I wasn't given a ticket for that particular journey, which sets alarm bells ringing! At least their buses are clean, although their livery is truly dire and horribly reminiscent of BrightBus! Ah, but today is Sunday, which means no Doyles and hopefully less scope for the others to get it wrong too?

Although slighlty going away from allocations the problems with Doyles are down to the DCC after all they gave them the contract and as they are from alfreton i assume it was totally price related as if a decent price was put in they have no chance when one bus runs dead to sheffield every morning (0825 from sheff) On the 214 allocation from try the TM 10:25 for a variety of vehicles usually a Mini never the same type however their was a step entrance Ikarus bodied DAF on a couple of weeks ago & a Plaxton bodied Lance so that seems the same. Whilst out this morning noticed nothing really out of place with either First or Stagecoach.

Well if its anything like the 65 they will throw anything on there: Solos, Primos, Centros, Varios, the late DAF delta, various Darts including the Spud, B10Bs, the list goes on. Never seen a decker on though! As for Ikarus bodied DAFs and the like, Stagecoach were even worse with the 65 as theyhad a habit of putting their express B10M coaches on, whose drivers refused to stop at my stop despite the fact that the 65 is not an express route.

Well I know it's Sunday (and so anything goes more so that usual) but it's (unbranded) Gemini day on the 81/82 in Sheffield. As I'm only in Sheffield once a month I don't know how common it is, but they've never been running on Sundays when I've been here before. There are at least 3 of them out and about ... one's forming one of 82 City-Bents Green-City services so it comes back every hour, and the other two are out on the 81.

Well there is normally 1 (possibly 2) spare on weekdays, normally these are on the 97/8 or 75, but they pop up on the 81/2 every now and then as it is the other LFDD route. Indeed, there was one on the 81 on the very first day of Gemini operation! On Sundays there are evidently more, I suppose all branded ones should stay on the 60, but most if not all the unbranded ones should be free. Therefore since they are the newest buses they are used, but again usually on the 97/8 or 75 (they used to be frequent on the 87). However I've never seen any on Sundays, usually its still Alx400s, and 3 definitely seems a lot. So I think your observations definitely qualify as an unusual working.

Not really that unusual, but first time i have seen this bus on the x78, H676 THL was on the x78 this afternoon, usually the M*** VET, or N*** CKY buses operate the x78, not the THL batch.

You're right about it usually being M-VET and N-CKY, but was this a refurbished H-THL? I have seen a couple of them on before, as well as H-RKUs, I don't know if this is usual or not? I expect its a case of "any B10M is fine".
