Grand Central have recently taken delivery of a new 180, but it's branded in their livery not the First livery. They're definitely taking some more 180's for the Bradford-London service starting in May 2010. It's possible they may have been doing route/driver training, but still in trains branded in First livery. All Hull Trains services stop at Doncaster, but I guess it could have been a spare unit, perhaps driver training again? Thank you, I looked at the GC timetable and there is in fact a service which should pass through Doncaster about the time I saw it so they may well have put a First-liveried 180 into service.

Is a Super Voyager on Plymouth-Edinburgh service unusual?
Having one car closed off due to ''evacuation issues'', and 2 toilets on the train not working, is certainly an unusual occurence...
Or is it?

Funny formation in the Doncaster-Leeds services today: 4 carriages made up of 2 x 158 coupled to 2 x 156. I know which end I'd prefer to be in!

But aren't they diesel trains Ryan? I thought it was only EMU's operated that service ? It is normally EMU operated (Class 321) but it is DMU operated from time to time - just not seen this unusual configuration before though!

150269 visited Rotherham this morning. It was on the Wakefield Line (Leeds to Sheffield via Rotherham Central) and I spotted it, only just, at Swinton @ 8:51am, heading towards Sheffield on Platform 2. Usually a 142/144 unit. Mind you, saying that, I wouldn't mind the 150s on the Wakefield Line to Rotherham, as they aren't bad vehicles at all.

It must have only managed 1 or 2 round trips then as it was on the 1345ish service to York as I saw it at Meadowhall. Was later dumped in P4a at Sheffield ready to do 1725 to Doncaster. Normally a 144 this one I believe.

Spotted 142039 in Rotherham Central this morning, nothing unusual here, though what was unusual was the fact that the destination was 'Newcastle' rather than 'Leeds.' First time I've personally seen this occur, good job I go on what the platform screens say and not the blinds on the train .
