I do seem to remember that one of the Sheafline Nationals was painted with the colours the opposite way around, and why?

I do seem to remember that one of the Sheafline Nationals was painted with the colours the opposite way around, and why? They were SUT buses. The blue wore quicker on the Nationals so they swapped the livery around. 2 SUT Nationals recieved the old SUT colours in Sheafline style as well-too much grey...

There were 3 versions of Sheafline-the first set up by ex employees of East Bank garage with ex Greater Manchester standard deckers, Then SYT bought it out instead of Drawlane (another story..)merged it with SUT and Sheffield and District, the company still based at Tinsley but with ex Sheffield and District staff and buses supplemented by ex West Riding/Yorkshire Traction Nationals. When Tinsley shut and everything was garaged at Charlotte road SUT had been for some time using the Sheafline livery and name instead of its own. When Mainline closed Charlotte road it integrated SUT/Sheafline staff into its depots but on there own pay and conditions-there are still a handfull of staff left with distinctive driver numbers begining with 8xxxx.

Used service 220 every day (holidays excepted) for about three years. Driver was the same one every day, one Mike Felton (now late, sadly).
