...sorry , but disagree with your comments as regards 1756. It would be sacriledge to repaint it as it is one of the best local restorations at the moment and the paintwork is perfect . As for it doing nothing for historical value , where is there another example of Mainline livery anywhere ? - Leave well alone ! Agreed we do need some examples of SYT livery locally (other than M3!) but i know of many other desperate candidates up for the livery without having to repaint 1756 !!! I agree with you Transit that the restoration on 1756 is an exquisite job but it is the only roadworthy vehicle at the SYTM that represents the deregulation era. I didn't know 1756 was in private hands and with Rotherham 220 also in private hands which local vehicles form part of the collection? Is is just half cabs? Maybe 2101 can tell us the reason why the SYTM does not have a Dominator in their collection.

What is odd is that none of these local organisations seem interested in preserving a B10M yet are happy to take stuff like this with no local connection.

... the bus will have been either donated or bought by a private buyer, and storage agreed at Aldwalke - thats why it will have been accepted .

I've been down this afternoon removing branding/vinyls off the open topper. Some panels have been removed as some are getting replaced.

A guy who worked at sandtoft had 3 dominators D472OWE, D473OWE and D479OWE. He's broke 2 of them to fix D479OWE. D479OWE should be at Tinsley. A414YAK is preserved.

Last time i saw A414 YAK it was at Meadowhall for the 2009 rally. It was still in withdrawn livery with all the advert frames removed & First stickers removed with some older style blinds, think it is now at SYTT.
