Some of these really surprise my as they are employment services. I wonder if the SL1 will be replaced by the 57 or not!

will stagecoach be running the 78 or will it be part of another chesterfield bus route Stagecoach not doing it. Stagecoach have retained all Derbyshire tenders at both Chesterfield and Holbrook (other than Sunday 84s which have been replaced by hulleys 170) and have gained 15/16 in dronfield from TM.

According to the Traffic Commissioner, service 73/74 Cristal Peak’s is cancelled. Around 2 weeks to go and still no new timetables. The passenger is let down by all parties and the last to know yet again!

It's because the council were too slow announcing the tender results so Stagecoach had to register services with the traffic commissioner as if they were cancelled. Same with South Yorkshire, my understanding is the cancelled services above may not actually be cancelled. The late announcement on government funding has also confused things, but I agree it would be nice to know about timetables etc. a bit further in advance.

So, is the 73-4 actually staying as far as your aware then? I also wondered if the 73 Sheffield to Rotherham Sunday/Evening service was going to be reinstated because that is also down or a timetable change. The whole thing is a shambles as usual. The rules need to be changed in my view so that passengers get a minimum of 28 days' notice of any timetable change. There is no point in a traffic commissioner, they have no teeth. The whole idea of 45 days' notice is to allow for alterative arrangements to be made. The poor passenger is lucky to get ten days in most cases. the rules should be 28 days' notice to the public with a new timetable or no change can be made. Unless it's urgent such as roadworks or a company has gone insolvent say. Too many people involved in the process.

The Stagecoach commercial director posted the following to the staff a week or so back: "We have retained all of our existing tendered work (including the 65 and our Matlock routes), with the exception of the service 84 Sunday journeys. Holbrook also retain the 73/74/75 and 130 school bus." Sounds like there are no changes to 73/74/75 but I don't know any more details than that.
